OK all you turbo gurus

I'm looking for some suggestions on what turbo and related accessories I need for what I want to accomplish. I looking to run somewhere in the eights with my combination but still be able to cruise it to the local car shows. Right now I have an aluminum KB500 block with fully ported Dart 320s. The rotating assembly consists of 4340 NT Callies crank and GRP aluminum rods. This is a 447 ci big block. It was originally going to be an all out nitrous motor but I think I want to be able to play on the street with it. My pistons I have now I realize will not work but getting new ones will not be that bad. What kind of compression ratio should I run? I will be using a air-water intercooler also. I also have the FAST fuel injection setup already so that isn't going to be a problem. So let hear some suggestions........Forgot to add that I want a single turbo setup.

With that large of an engine, you're going to need at LEAST a T88. Even at low boost, should make an easy 800 hp. Crank the boost up to 15-20 psi and your looking at 1000+ hp.

Yeah I'm still around. I haven't done much with the car. Kind of getting discouraged with the whole deal. I was thinking along the lines of a 101mm but wasn't sure how it would be out on the street. What kind of compression should I run?

Depends on how much boost you plan on running. I would say the highest you would want to go is 9:1, but if you plan on cranking the boost up pretty high I would run 8:1 or lower to be safe.

If you keep engine on the cool runing side you could stick with 8.5:1 to 9:1 and that after cooler will help a lot.
There is a nother thred floating aroud here with in the last day or so talking a lot about higher end waste gates.
I'm just sticking with internal ones for now.
