track times for 100 shot vs. 150 shot?????

I was just curious if anyone has some nitrous timeslips comparing a 100 shot and a 150 shot on a TPI car on the same day???? I like my current timeslips and if the 150 shot doesn't seem to drop times much I will probably not tempt fate to go lower in ET's. The last thing I need is to kill a drivetrain I have finally worked most of the kinks out of

well you will technically be gaining around 42Hp at the wheels if everything is correct(if 150 shot is 150HP and doing the 15% loss through the drivetrain) 42Hp at the wheels is a VERY noticable difference if you can hook.

most nitrous kits are measured "at the wheels"

so a 150NX kit shot for example, should show about 150 on a chassis dyno.

oh well my N.O.S. kit says that the 150 shot will give me 135hp at the wheels(bhp) sorry bout that.

Not that it matters but I have an NX kit. I was really wondering how much track times could be expected to improve. I ran a 12.8 at 106 uncorrected on the 100 shot and was wondering how much more a 150 shot *could* take off my ET's. I know there are so many factors, I was just looking for a general idea. I have the tuning and fuel in place as well as the traction.

Thanks it gives me an idea. I was figuring maybe 3 tenths extra. Were your 60' times the same ??? Did you have a dual stage setup?? If not when were you activating the nitrous???? I can run a 100 shot out of the hole as long as I don't enguage it until 4K. I tried leaving with it at 3K and smoked my ET Streets pretty good. My 60' times went down to a 2.0 on that run. If I run the 150 I suspect I will not even attempt to use it until the car shifts into second.

I have a single stage setup . I use it right out of the hole . My 60' times are around 1.65 - 1.70 with the 100 shot . With the 150 shoot my 60' is around 1.61 to 159 .

Jay you should pick up 4-5 mph and .3-.4 seconds if you only spray in 2nd and 3rd. Are you going to try and come up to the track again this year?

Well I might if I can find the source of my "groan". On a hard acceleration I have the feeling that the car seems to absorb power for a bit and then it groans slightly and takes off. I have checked all the obvious like tranny/motor mounts, torque arm, K member, ect. I think I might have killed my converter as I noticed a slight vibration at 2400 RPM. I can get the vibration with the car in park so I know its not driveshaft/rear end related. I need to pull my inspection cover and try to unbolt my converter and see if the vibration is still there. If it is the converter then thats it for this year as plates are off in two weeks anyway. I really hope its not the converter Ah well I have been pricing out minirams and cams and I have been taking my AFR's out of the closet more and more to look at em. So maybe if the money fairy makes it to my house this winter I might have a new combo in the spring
