Those are just the basics. Never dynoed.

12.004 @ 117.62 mph
Basically coasting in "OD" for the final two seconds due to reaching the redline (6200 rpm) in "D".

I have since gone to a different setup.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that it's emissions legal, was my daily driver at that time and had full accessories (A/C).

What do you think a 88 Vette will run? With Rear 3.54, 700R Trans shift kit, Motor bottom end stock, mild ported stock runners, pleuim, base and AIr foil. 180 therm, custum chip if need be. just a guess will work for me. car has 98k on it everything is mint. With a Procharger 6lb boost

Stock motor with cam + bolt ons(D-1SC) @ 8lbs.
13.5@105mph 5500ft. elevation
343rwhp/375rwtq SAE

Forged motor with heads/cam/etc. 355ci (D-1SC) @ 15lbs
No times yet
505rwhp/640rwtq --> ran out of fuel at 4800rpms so it should have more in it.

This was with a 3 core intercooler.

406 SBC
F1R @ 18lbs
Spearco A/W IC

Never made good numbers on the dyno due to some complications but if you do the math......

3580 lbs - 9.20 @ 151 = 925 RWHP

Funny part is I'm not even working the blower that hard......yet

Just curious...Are you using a stock block? I plan to build a forced induction 406. Can't decide on procharger or turbos. What times would you estimate with an air to air IC?

I'm using a Dart Litte M block. I dont recommend using a stock block on a boosted application if you plan on running over 12 #'s. Been there done that and cracked a cylinder @ 14#.

A/A IC are alomst as efficient as A/W if you spend the money and get a good quality unit. Of course placement is a key factor. The difference is you will have to run less timing due to the higher inlet temps.

Turbos are the hot ticket right now but you can make plenty of power with a good S/C like a YSi or F1.
