simple meth injection idea

ive seen a few diy meth kits, and was wondeing if they would work out on an intercooled setup.just about all the diagrams ive seen are for non intercooled setups.
its pretty much just a tank that holds the water/meth or meth, with a boost line hooked to it,it then has an outlet line that goes to a jet and nozzle located right infront of the turbo inlet(has a checkvalve so it cant pull meth out under vacum).it cant be placed on the turbo outlet cause if u make 10 psi of boost u have 10 psi in the tank, and 10 psi in the tube ur trying to spray into.

would this work on an intercooled car???

I wouldn't even use that without an intercooler. You can pickup a water pump for under $100 and use some water nozzles. I would only spray after the turbo. If you are interested in water or water/alky spray then do a search for my username as a thread starter and water/alky. I did some pump and nozzle testing back in the Fall.

i really dont need teh injection system so im not gonna go out and buy stuff,
i figured if that setup would work for me id give it a shot since i could weld up a tank for free, and i already have nozzles/jets and lines.figured it woulda been wortha shot to see how well it worked.i.e just something else to toy with pretty much

If you inject water in the inlet of your turbo you will shorten the life of the turboas the water will sandblast the turbine. Sooner than you think. All the water will condense in the inter cooler core. Potential for an explosion when methanol colects in the intercooler. Not a good idea.

Water injection is most effective after the turbo and after the intercooler. Just have to inject it at a high enough pressure above boost pressure to ensure adequate vapourization. ( misting). The better the water vapourizes, the more heat it absorbs.

I've seen this done on turbo regals, and I also remember reading that they were going to have this feature from the factory. In fact, in an article I read, they took apart their dash and there was a non functional "idiot light" on the dash that actually read "alcohol injection" or something like that. Anyway, like the other poster said, after the turbo is best...it can be done though.

You don't want to add the meth spray before the intercooler.

Use a high pressure pump and blow it into the manifold...

Where? I just searched back at least a year and didn't see anything (at least nothing obvious)
