Re: fuel pump question

What fuel are you planning on running? I would at minimum go with the Walbro 450lph OR the Hellcat 525 pump.

Re: fuel pump question

Crank or wheel hp? how much Boost? On 93 i think youll be alright, def not e85. Im running a external walbro 255 and my car did 450rwhp @ 7 lbs. I would think mines somewhere around 525ish crank.

Re: fuel pump question

For the record in my car, a single Aeromotive 340 with E85 started struggling right around 12 lbs of boost on E85. This was at a low base fuel pressure of only 40 psi through -8an braided line. Power level at 12 lbs was probably around 450-480 whp. Added a second 340 in the tank and haven't found the max of this setup yet.

Re: fuel pump question

It will support 600whp on gas but with very little margin. I'd go with a Walbro 450.

I'm shooting for 800whp on E85 and running dual AEM 340s in an LS1 tank.

Re: fuel pump question

It is too close especially at ls fuel pressure of 58. My buddys 530 whp ls3 stroker all motorruns a 340 on gas and is barely enough it seems. It just didnt like flowing at 60 psi

on a lower base with a hot wire kit it might get close on 93. The math works since a 255 will do near 500 whp at 40 psi base. But its easier to just get a 450 lph walbro and drop in

Re: fuel pump question

Yes, but you need a good hotwire kit as they draw over 20 amps.
