Fixed one problem now have a new problem.

I had a bucking problem on my boosted 2,8l that I fixed with larger flow injectors. Now I am getting a code 45 rich mixture. I replaced the one wire o2 sensor with a heated sensor to try to correct it, but it is still happening. It sets when cruising, I can put the 17lb injector back in but I will get the bucking back. I am running a FMU to boost fuel pressure under boost it is a 10:1. Any help would be appreciated.

You really need a wideband o2 sensor on there and a way to datalog things. The one wire and heated sensors are no good for your application. Are you running a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator??

I am running a 10:1 fuel management unit. What kind of wideband o2 sensor will work with the stock computer? I could not find any computers that will work with it,

I am looking into the Fi Tech system it is for a v8 but would it work for the v6 If I don't plug in the other 2 injectors? I called them and they just said they never tested it on the V6.

Try it out. I think you'd most likely have to rearrange the firing order in the software

I put the 17 lbs injectors back in, and the rich code 45 is gone but of course the buck is back. I was thinking of putting a inline fuel pressure regulator in to boost the fuel pressure a bit. If I do that should i just pull the spring out of the stock regulator to bypass it. and hook the vacuum line from it to the inline one?

If you have an FMU you should adjust that to increase fuel pressure and get more flow thru the injectors.

Re: Fixed one problem now have a new problem.

My FMU is not adjustable. I talked to the guy at Soutbay injectors and he said base fuel pressure is to high for the larger injectors and it probably flowing too much fuel. I would like to bypass the stock fuel pressure regulator and put in a inline one taht I can adjust the pressure down, and then the FMU would boost it back up under boost. I just don't know how to bypass the stock regulator. I was thinking of removing the spring and put a regulator in line on the return hose.
