https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=204798

he changed his posts, and the ones where he was quoted..... because he made several technicly incorrect comments..

he kept sticking his nose in and insisting a few stupid things..... one of my faves was how the evaporator was suppost to help the windshield fog evaporate off....

as you can see, editing my posts and others to change info, isnt what a tech board is about... he should have either known correct info before he posted, or shut up when he was corrected....

not to mention, he took out a important paragraph of what i said explaining how everything worked and why what he said was wrong, and replaced it with, and i quote:

"Im a idiot who has nothing to do but try to make people think im smart."

personally, i think he should be taken off mod status for this act....

i should make it a point that im not upset for him insulting me.... im online, and people do that everyday....

he should be off because he posted incorrect info as facts, then edited his posts and people quoting him after he looked up what a evap was... he edited the entire conversation to make him appear always right.

noone is always right.

I agree. When the removal of useful info occurs, something is wrong.

Actually, I've begun to notice a bit of hostility rising in general

but thats not the point. i just cant understand why so many people just keep complaining about the mods when without them this place would go downhill o so very quick. i didnt mean to direct everything to you such as you are the only one cuz your not and for that i am truly sorry. i just think people should get off their "mods are crap" ideas and go on with life.

did i say sorry for being to direct with you? cuz i am.

oh i agree..... but this isnt a generic mods suck... this isnt "a mod pissed me off" or a "mod made me unhappy" or even a "mod made a mistake" post

im just pointing out a specific mod abusing his power, and doing something highly immature.... joking and ribbing is one thing, this is another...

he crossed a line and i think another mod should be put in his place...

Can't we all just get along? No...? Okay, can we FAKE it, then? We must agree on only one thing, that we're going to DISagree on some stuff. If everyone is agreeing with me on everything I say or do, then something is wrong! (with me or them, take your pick.) Just my two cents.

I don't think he should have done it either, but you should take this up with the administrator. Maybe he had other reasons for doing it, who knows.

I think the problem is that some of us are beginning to become afraid of the mods and the administrator. To tell ya the truth, I'm surprised this section of the boards exists at all.

Not all the mods make me feel that way, and I don't know about the admin... I don't even know who he/she is. It just seems that everyone hails the mods and that there is no room for comments about how the forums are actually doing.

A crooked mod could quickly destroy a friendly atmosphere

No reason to feel that way, we wanna hear what you guys think. The Mod in question here could have definetly been more professional and I will talk to him, but I'm not gonna remove him for it.

Also, remember to treat our Mods properly and with appreciation. They have an almost thankless job and deal with peoples BS to help the site.

I hate to say it but "ede" is the same way. He is way to opinionated and insulting and then locks a thread if he dis agrees with you or what your trying to do.

I just think a mod should not be so involved in the conversation.
Offer helpful advise, be supportive and positive. Don't put people down or squash their parade cause they want to be or do something different.

Anyone has the right to their own opinion but using mod power to push that opinion is wrong.

Now not that I haven't strayed off topic or posted some wacky ****. I am in no means even a good example myself but I am not a mod.

ede has made good progress in becoming a Mod with a better attitude towards pretty much everything and everyone, so I think some of the things said in this post are probably now invalid. Behind the scenes he is one of our most helpful Mods and is always on the lookout, which is a substantial help to us.
