ANNUAL WINTER GATHERING DATE IS CHANGED - Please look here!
ZAP is right, checked weather and it looks bad for January 1st.
RAIN DATE - is the following Saturday (Jan. 8th)
Is there anyone who can not attend on January 8th?
Also, if the weather is still bad on the 8th, are we gonna cancel this event or try for another day like Sunday the 9th?
Thoughts, questions, comments?

Yes, I'll be back in Colorado. Why would be change it now when the weather could clear up? Report I saw said rain Friday night and Saturday morning, clearing off Saturday night and clear on Sunday. Play it by ear and call it on Saturday morning if it looks like its going to or is raining.

I agree. I don't think we can be any surer of next Sunday than this Sunday so it would be better to decide on Sunday morning. The only problem is guys that would be coming from out of town. It would be hard for them to change plans on a moments notice. I will be available either date. Its kind of 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other. I think it would be better to still try it, but Ill go along with the majority. I heard Sunday was supposed to be the worst day for rain,

Personally I think it's a little premature to call it. If U remember, we had pretty much the same type of weather forecast last year, and although it started drizzling while at Sams Club, we had a beautiful day,
The summer meet was a much worse forecast and at the meet itself we only had a passing shower--even if it was a monsoon in other parts on H-town.
The weather forecast is looking much better for the gathering this Sat. It's gone from 60% to 50% to 30% to scattered showers.
Everybody knows how we get little 5 minute passing showers in Houston.
I don't think we would get near as good a turnout at a rain date meet. I would like to wait until at least Friday, before a decision is made.
Just my opinion!

Well guys, whatever is cool with you all is cool with me. However, if it's raining, I'm not taking the Camaro out.
Drag radials + rain + camaro = disaster !
I guess whoever reads this post, check back to it Friday to see if weather looks any better or if better date has been agreed upon.

My forecast here in Laredo just changed from rain Sat-Mon to cloudy all week. No rain. I'd check houston but don't know the area code.
Edit: Just checked, Houston looks cloudy saturday, rain on Sunday.

Yeah, however the general consensus for weather forecasters in H-town is.... YOU CAN NOT EVER FORECAST! It changes hourly and its nearly impossible to tell what it will be like until the day of.

Even though I won't have the IROC there, I'm looking forward to The gathering tomorrow--come rain or shine!
Everybody please refresh your memory for your food commitments.
My cell phone # is 713-823-7019--if U need to call for directions or whatever reason. Even though it says 2 pm, I plan on TRYING to get there about 1 pm.
20N!N--reminder to bring the sign up sheet so we can get updated contact info for everybody.
Does anybody have any thing that could be used for "nametags" like we did last year? It sure helped knowing who we were talking to!
Don't forget your cameras, camcorders, ETC.
