hey march 14th there is a dyno day at humble performance. 32 bucks for 3 pulls. everyone is welcome. i'm dynoing the omni. so i'll be the only omni there lol. should lay down some goos numbers. 215-235whp and close to 300wtq i know that doesn't sound like alot of hp but try that in a 2200lb shitbox lol.

ATTENTION 3RD GEN'S

PLEASE!!!

I'm beggin every third gen that can read this to please polish up and come out Saturday Night (28th) to 39th street. I'd really like to get everyone out there so we can finally meet face to face and BS in person along with showing off our cars to everyone. I'm willing to go up early and grab a spot in front of a dealership with bright lights so that everyone's shows off nice. However, I'm not going up there if nobody is going to show up. Please text or call me so I can get a car count of everyone that is willing to come up. A post on here will work too, but on my cell I can keep track of everyone a little bit better. Finally have a decent Saturday, bit cool, light jackets will work, but please bring your cars out... not everyone is full of money lately so we're not "crusing" but to just show off what you got and actually meet each other for once would really be great.

Please let me know ASAP. I know emergencies happen, but if you say your gonna make it, please stand on your word... really don't want to hold a huge amount of room for 12 cars and only 4 show up...

Thanks
Chris

91camaroRS: Congratulations man!!!!

What time are you heading up Sat night? I have to work until 6 so it would be close to 7 or so before I could make it up. That also is if the wife doesn't mind.

Sold the Iroc, and delivered it today. The guy that bought it had that fire in his eye like when I bought it. Hopefully he keeps it burning. Told him about the site, and the thread. Hopefully he'll get on here.

If it was anywhere else I would make an appearance in the fun car but last few tickets will keep me away from that area.

well then pick a spot.... looks like only you, me, and 91whiteta are the only 3 that feel like doing it, one has his motor torn apart, and the other just had a baby, and nobody else has replied to me.... so if you know of anywhere else that has people to mingle with, let me know......91whiteta (Shawn) lives in moore, im on south side 53rd & Western, and you in Yukon, so if there is a middle somewhere..... just let me know, if you want, text works too, i get those right away..... 405-923-1489

thanks

Re: The Oklahoma Thread

I don't race around there and you for sure don't have to act stupid to get a ticket there. I get illegal exhaust every time before I even get to sonic. I am down for a meet and might take the bird out cause the SS is on 7/8's of a motor right now... I think I might just stay home though if this is a MEAT and greet however

I try and keep politics away from this board as the topic typically brings a cesspool crap along with it.

Although, Its hard to vote for a good president when the decision is between a Giant Douche and a Turd Sandwich (This idea comes from good southpark episode)
Hopefully he was referring that America was the country to first mass produce vehicles. (assembly line)
Also, at least he can pronounce words will more than three syllables. (Unlike the last guy) If Bush can get elected for a second term anything in this country is possible. Give the guy a chance, cause you really don't have another choice anyways.

Thanks Shawn for pointing out the "Meat" instead of the "Meet" now this is going to be a never ending joke on me.... LOL

I know you don't have to be stupid to get a ticket, cops see what you have and drill you for any possible thing they can find, especially on an american made.... grinders seem to get away a little more... anyways, i was just kinda looking forward to getting a bunch of us up there and then when people started to back out it just bummed me out is all, had a horrible day at work, and then after work got called back in again for 3 hours of "emergency plumbing" freakin sewer lines!!! anyways, didn't mean to sound like an a-hole last night......

Hope to get everyone up there, MEET about 8?

AS I SAID EARLIER, IF 39TH IS TO MUCH OF A HASSLE WITH THE BLUE THEN JUST LET EVERYONE KNOW OF A BETTER PLACE WHERE WE CAN GO.....

YA'LL HAVE A GOOD DAY...

Re: The Oklahoma Thread

you guys have had trouble on 39? i never have well once, i was on my r6 doing wheelies and endos and standing on the bike and a guy called me in but no ticket. lol but other than that, no problems even after killing the honda next to me.

btw! last night on the way home from work i passed a 5 point slow (5.0 stang) sitting next to a gti golf. about 6 miles later i had this car that would not leave me.. so i went 70 still there. 90... still there, i said &&%%$ and floored it,turned off my gov and left him in my dust. when i came to a stop he(the gti) pulled next to me and said "how fast were you going?!" i turned and laughed "my speedo stops at 110" and then he said "i was doing 130 and was nowhere near catching u"

nothing like a car for the autobahn no being able to keep up with a third gen :-)

ps i know it was a golf but still it was turbo and they are kinda fast. just give me some credit here lol

Re: The Oklahoma Thread

Technically, an American did create the first horseless carriage, ten years before Mr Benz. Karl was the first to get a patent and put it into production, becoming famous and claiming to be the creator.
Semantics though....

Congrats on the babies and getting the car running.

Where you still around during the fall semester of 99 if so you might have seen my 85 rolling around there I normally had my dumps open and I lived in the Bud wilkinson dorm, but I was only there for a semester. I also worked at sears changing tires.

another thing is COFBA and TFCC really out I just notice that WS6ZXR is out of commission. Every once in a while I like to see whats going on in OK hopefully someday soon I will be coming through there to pick up all of the cars in my SIG. They have been there since I joined the Army back in 02 and now that I am out I need to get them with me so I can get them in shape.

I didn't actually attend until '06. I was only at OU in '99 to buy the car.
Two semesters and I gave up on that place....

Re: The Oklahoma Thread

Hey everyone,
Im finally an owner just got my hands on a sweet 85 IROC Canary Yellow ut some idiot put a 283 in it and wheels off of a AMC Gremlin lol its pretty straight and all and stills runs great but ive gotta get my hands on a matching 305 TPI which is what the car had in it originally. I have the stereo done up killer and am working towards a show strip quality car but i have a few questions about the interior its back and yellow cloth in a style i have never seen or even heard of in an iroc but im SURE its factory ill post pictures asap.

Re: The Oklahoma Thread

welcom to the board T.Rollings where about are you located? He have people from all over oklahoma on this board i am located in moore. there is alot of useful information on this board i have one suggestion tho if you want it to be a show/ strip car why would you want to go back with a 305? a 350 TPI would make ALOT more power and still look like the original 305. 305 engines just dont have the displacement you need to make the car fast easily you could make the 305 fast but a 350 would be much cheaper to go faster. there are thousands of posts on this subject if you would like to do more research.

Re: The Oklahoma Thread

YES YES HELLO!

welcome to the boards, please do post where you are at as many of us have in prior posts if you go back there maybe someone close to where you live that could help you out on a weekend or something, that's what i do with whiteta .... anyways, definately go with a 350 carb or TPI is your choice, i got a 350 with a 750DP carb in mine and love the crap out of it, easy to work on and you don't have all the computer stuff to worry about.... but keep everyone posted as to what you're doing or if you need help on anything, we're all here to help!

Re: The Oklahoma Thread

Yeah, you stink.

I haven't posted as I have nothing new to say. Just trying to sell my junk on craigslist so I can buy an a/c delete pulley.
Yeah, I know. No a/c in OK's summer is gonna suck, but I'm determined to get under 3000 lbs before the turbo goes on.
