Re: The Oklahoma Thread
Reviving this for an interesting reason. I've been going to shows in the OKC and surrounding area this spring and summer. I've been to about 20 this year, and I've seen a total of 3 third gens, all 'birds.
Where the crap are the nice third gens?

Re: The Oklahoma Thread
I've been going to local cruise nights here in the Tulsa area and 3rd Gen cars are nearly zero, except for my 1985 IROC-Z. With only 9800 original miles it is definitely a very, very nice example. BTW, it's also for sale, but not much interest. I think most buyers who look for 3rd Gen cars expect a bargain price for something that they then put 1,000s more into.

^That is perfect! Trophy winner for sure.
Another good show opportunity: http://coffeeandcarsokc.com/. Every month, about 700 cars get together for coffee and BS. No fees or judging, just show up and chat. I've been to one before and the amount of awesome rides is incredible. I was there to take pics and was exhausted after 3 hours. heh. Seriously the only place in the state you'll find a Ford Model A parked next to an original '60s Mini Cooper, next to a new GT500, next to a '70 442. Good times.

Re: The Oklahoma Thread
Im from McAlester, where 270 and 69 meet. I know the " Fall Festival " that goes on in Wilburton is Really nice. Only bad thing about it is they have a age limit on cars and well... we just arnt old enough to get in yet... LOL. However i worked for a body shop here in McAlester for a few years and we had cars that went to Barret Jackson that would be at the Fall Festival. Awesome car show if youre in the area.
Im Brandon btw, ppl just call me FBC. I saw this post and thought it would be nice to see if there are any thirdgens in the area and if any go on cruises, we had cruise night here every weekend when i was in highschool but that was many moons ago lol but if you boys are out prowling the streets id like to know, i need to get a few miles put on mine.
Cars a 89 title says Iroc but only the first owner would know the truth in that, ive spent the last 4 going on 5 years rebuilding it. FBM 350 thats healthy, 350Turbo trans, Moser 9" Posi rear with a set of Corvette slippers.

Re: The Oklahoma Thread
I'm in SW OKC, I've got an '84 Bird, she's not running at the moment. In the process of dropping an LS1/T56 into her. Once she's running I wanna be able to cruise around in her with other third gen owners.

Re: The Oklahoma Thread
So it has been a loong time since I've posted here. I still have my third Gen, but not much has happened to it.
I'm in the process of buying a donor car for it though. Lt1/t56 car. Probably be a year or so before any real progress comes.
If/when I get my wrx back I'll have a car that I would be proud to cruze in. That's if you didn't mind a import tagging along.
I've been more active on Facebook. ****** militia. If you are not a member yet, I'd look into it. These guys are legit. So much that if you post nonsense on the page, you get banned. It's really good for technical issues with a quick reply. And for third Gen enthusiasts.
Also, for the lateral g fans
In june, hallett is having the summer shootout. People come from surrounding States to compete. There is usually a small handful of third gens racing out there against mustangs and 4th gens. Fun crowd to be around.
