Interest in a Dyno Day
Just guaging interest to see who would be interested in a dyno day out here in Tempe. It'd be about $40 for 2-3 pulls with a wideband chart. Tentatively scheduled for March 26th. We're doing it for the Drag Race Devils and I'd love to see some more thirdgens out there (especially any that'll put down some nice numbers!).
Anyone?

I'd like to go. I need to do tuning on my Buick and want to run my race chip if I can find 108+ octane. What type of cars will be there?

Ok guys, I need solid commitment here's the details:
----------------------------------------------------
recap from last email update: I have chosen Xtreme Motorsports to host our dyno day. Xtreme is located at 364 S. Smith Rd. Suite 107, Tempe, AZ, 85281. It will cost $40 for two pulls, air/fuel is included. He will also have food there for us to eat. I need to know who DEFINATELY will be going. We MUST have AT LEAST 10 cars commited. If you choose to come just to watch, bring $5 to chip in for food, if you want to eat there.
New info: We will be holding the dyno day on MARCH 26, 2005. Mark that on your calendars NOW. I still have less than ten COMMITED cars. I will NOT be calling Xtreme until I get ten so PLEASE go on the message board and let me know you are commited to this event on this date. I do not know the time yet, since that requires me telling Xtreme we will do it. The AZFBA dyno day held at Xtreme started at 9am and went to 4pm. This does NOT mean you can show up at 3pm expecting to Dyno - this means you should show up close to the beginning (AT THE BEGINNING! for officers attending) prepared to throw your car up and see your numbers. This can be a really great event and most dyno shops really enjoy holding them - but ONLY if we MAKE it one; that means everyone who said they would, attends, and everyone hangs out and watches, or talks cars, or just gets to know one another blah blah blah
----------------------------------------
If you wanna come watch, bring $5 to chip in for food
So, who wants the truth

Ok, the Dyno Day will be this Saturday at Xtreme Motorsports in Tempe ( http://www.xmsengineering.com ) . It will start at 9:00 and will run until whenever necessary to get all of the cars in that need to do pulls. The Drag Race Devil's cars will be done first and after that it's basically first come first serve for all the other cars invited. Once again it's $40 for two pulls. If you'd like to come and hang out, there will be grilling going on so bring $5 if you wanna hang out and eat. Hope I covered everything, ask if you have any more questions!

I'll be there. My car is running like poo so making a dyno pull with her would be about as pointless as washing my car in a dust storm. It'll be fun to watch everyone else make pulls though...

Valid point. I'll have to see if I can scrounge up the $40 and see if I can figure out a way to temporarily reverse my exhaust "modification"...
Regardless, I'll be there

Car: currently thirdgenless!!!
Got the Camaro back today so it will be the camaro doing the dyno pull tomorrow. Seems as if the fuel pump was only putting out 81/2 pounds. Got a new one now. Also new header gaskets.
Throwing a code though. I suspect it's going to say that I'm rich.

Can you get your laptop with WinALDL on it? That should show you what code you're throwing. Otherwise, take it to Autozone and get the code pulled.

Well thanks to Bruce, Bill, and Dave for showing up, I had a phenominal time. There were definitely some pretty sick cars there and of course your standard 3XX hp LS1's. Just makes me excited to try and get more power out of the car. Realistically I think it might be possible to get another 15 hp out of the car with a throttle body and underdrive pulleys (maybe), but my overall goal is to run 14.5's or so on stock heads, stock bottom end, and stock TBI if possible. Fun stuff!

Yeah it really was a lot of fun! (Minus this new lovely shade of red I'm sporting from standing outside for too long ) Every single car sounded SO beastly, with the exception of that Black SS, which sounded like a 320hp V6, but thats ok. I really need to get a job at that place!!
