Best way to fix tire rub?

I have used the eibach pro kit to lower my trans-am, and it works just fine except I have two 12 inch subs with a custom box that is quite heavy in the back hatch and the extra weight causes my rear tires to rub when I hit a bump in the road. I took the subs out and my tires don't rub anymore, but I miss my subs. So this freind of mine showed me a set of "coil spring boosters" that look like disks that you place under youre coil springs to add an inch or so of ride height. I also found some that you screw into youre springs somehow, they look like they wedge between the coils to stifin the spring some, i'm not to sure about those. But I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with these products or any other sugestions for me? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

I'll say this as politely as I can-" I love asswipes like you that crank their music at stoplights and just annoy the heck out of everyone else around you"- ditch the subwoffers, it'll solve your problem.

I have an infinity powered sub in my hatchwell, sounds as good as any other, and didn't lower my car.

Get some of that so called sound crap out of your overloaded & over weight rear. The tires do have weight limitations on the load they can carry.

Dont ASSume...

You know, I have 2 12" subs in the hatch of my car and I do not "bump" my **** loud at all, because a person has subs in his/her car dont assume that they are your regualr idiot who like to make every one else listen to their music. I just happed to like good clean sound and if my front speakers arent pushing all those low frequencys it leaves them open to produce better mid's and highs. Now a possible solution to the problem......buy a set of moog cargo coils. Part# mog-cc635 if im correct. I have a set at home wating to go on. 50 bucks at the most from summit.

Hey hey now, ouch guys. No need to slam each other like that here. I just asked a simple question. Now to afreakngoodtime and Z28DJP1987 i'm sorry if I hurt youre old *** eardrums, maby if you turn down the volume on youre hearing aid it wouldn't annoy you as much. For youre info I don't crank my music all the time, especialy in heavy trafic, but I do drive a lot of interstate and back roads during the week and I happen to like some music to jam to. By the way I will be happy to wipe my *** with youre pos cars after I embaras the s*** out of you if we ever happen to be at the same stop light. What do you guys drive anyway, buicks, caddys, fords? Thats what you sound like because you bitch and moan like my grandma. Anyway now that we are finished with that, Benny, Aklaim thanks for youre help. I'll look into those moog cargo coils. Thanks guys

As I have said before, those Moog cargo coils will make your rear look like a 4x4, they raise it too high, try some 4th gen SS springs, they to will raise it high, but about an inch lower than those cargo coils.

I don't really want to change out my rear springs seeing as I just bought my eibach ones. This is more along the lines of what I was thinking, http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...rchType%3DBoth This way I could keep my springs (that I think really kick *** by the way) and get an extra little bit of tire clearence without spending a crap load of money. I don't think you would have this problem normaly but I tried to stuff the biggest tire I could under the rear of my car and I think I went just a bit to big. I was just wondering if anyone had used a product similar to this before. thanks for youre input.

lowered, subs...hmmm, howbout some white walls mounted on 13" Gold Dayton 280 spoke wire wheels and wheel spacers on top of wheel spacers, you'd be on par with some of the coolest mexicans in the country...

Just another 20 year old that has the fastest car on earth again senerio. You most likely have more problems than you think- I mean with running those oversized rear tires and the mupflaps. Heres how we do it right in Calif- This is a suspenion board geared towards performance, not hauling around large speakers and the family trailer hitch. Now you were gonna wipe who's *** at a light?

I am not some punk kid that thumps his loud *** music sitin in rush hour traffic, this is my daily driver however and I just like some music going between home, school, and work.

did you replace your spring isolators when you did your springs? if they're worn and you replace them i'll bet you get an extra half inch or so in lift. i'm sure they're no more than like $10 apiece
