Just installed dropzone springs last weekend. Went all good everything back together. Went and raced a trans am last night. Put it in one and loaded up the tranny. Let off and floored it, and it felt like my car was going to fall apart. Shaking and banging loudly. the guys beside even heard it. So we went from a roll and everything was perfect, nothing wrong. Could it be the bump stops?? I had 4people in the car so was it too low in the back, thus hitting the rubber stops?? U-joints, tranny, rear-end??? I have to think its something to do with the suspension. Considering it never happened before. Please guys, I need help !!!!

I think your car wasn't shaking so much as you were getitng wheel hop. That is what happens when you lower a car and not relocate your lower control arms. Buy some LCA Relocation brackets from spohn and then try it. It seems to me that is why you are getting the shaking when you launch the car and not when you do it from a roll.

Sounds like wheel hop, LCA relocation brackets fixed mine. If the shocks are toast, that will make it worse. Have someone watch when it 'shakes'--the tire is probably bouncing up and down on the ground. Take it easy though, you can break stuff doing that. Oh ya' and lowering will create/make worse wheel hop.

Also, when you lower the car you'll need a realignment.

I got an alignment a couple days after I had done all the work. But i think i will go with the LCA brackets from spohn. And probebly get some new, stronger LCA's while im at it. But what is exactly wrong with the rear end??? Ive got lots of feedback on what Might be wrong, but you guys are the only ones that are pretty sure of whats going on. Other then that I love the springs and im happy I did it. Thanks for the help guys.

the back part of my LCA's used to be higher than the fronts after i lowered it. they're now parallel to the ground with the brackets i installed.

Another member that had installed the dropzone springs brought another idea to my attention. What about the trannie mount??Jcurrieirocz said it might be a possibility. I dont want to second guess anyone, just need to make sure I dont make any uneeded purchases. Even though i think the stronger LCA's and Brackets sound like a good idea anyway.

I think this is the longest post I have ever started!!!. I actually feel like i am contributing something to the baord, even though I have no idea whats wrong with my rear!!! Pretty sad compared to some of you guys.
