is it possible to do this...
is it possible to convert a thirdgen over to a 4th gen rack and pinion? id be using a tubular K member, and welding the brackets to it. it sounds doable but are the tie rod ends compadable?

heavier than a recirculating ball steering box, centerlink, idler arm and 4 tie rod ends??. The alluminum racks i've worked on were pretty light, not to mention there are fewer parts in the steering system to wear out.
