Spings lowered or stock?

Is the price worth it to go buy the prokit over icoc springs. im sure there is some benefit to lowering besides looking pretty but is it worth it.

Depends on what you're looking for. For street performance the pro-kit is really awesome. Eibach is one of the top manufacturers of springs in the world and their progressive pro kit spring works very well. Anyone I've read about who uses the pro-kit on here is more than happy enough with its street driven performance. That being said it is still a progressive spring. Which is best and great for the street but a linear setup is much more beneficial, but only suggested for track driven cars. I'm not sure if the IROC springs are linear or progressive or what their rating is even but I'd go with the pro-kit over IROC springs simple on Eibachs reputation. The 1-1.5" lowering with the pro-kit is also HIGHLY beneficial for handling. Lower centre of gravity equals much less roll which means higher cornering speeds and a more neutral handling setup.

rega hit it. progressive springs are great for comfort, and some spirited street driving, but on the track you want a linier spring, they are more predictable.

the *other* option, is to get ws6 or iroc springs, and cut them. this will raise the spring rate, and lower you.

Thanx for clearing up what one is better. a couple of more questions. Whould the sport kit help handling even more? Will I have to get anything else when i get the springs like lca relocations and ajust. panhard?

Anything you add will be a improvement over the soft RS supension. Such as SFC's. Sway Bars, Rear LCA's (brackets if you lower the car), Panhard bar, STB, Steering box support and on and on. Just stay away from adjustable parts, not for your application.

I looked all around the net and got opinions for our cars and many other car types and all seem to contend its more looks than performance.

If you want to go lower but really care about handling then you should be looking at custom linear springs. If you like Eibach they have just about any height and rate spring you could want and it wont cost you anymore than the pro or sportline kits.

Mind you, the sportline kit will still be an improvement over the stock RS springs you're running now. With lowering 2" or more by springs you're looking at needing a adjustable panhard bar, LCA relocation brackets, bumpsteer kit and a front end alignment to get good geometry back from such a drop.

you'll like the prokit....no need to get into custom spring rates. they don't drop the car that much though. the sportlines on the other hand are definately all appearance as they won't handle as nice as the pro-kit.
