Ways to improve my 60 foot?

I would like to run 1.8 60 foots and I know I have the power but I can't get it to the ground. I have a lot of spinning off the line unless I take off real slow. My best so far with a manual trans and 255 streets is 2.1. This was my setup for those runs:
Lakewood LCA's
All else stock

I am going to the track this weekend and here's what I plan:
Poly Torque arm bushing
Poly Trans bushing ( prothane)
Poly panhard bushings
BFG Drag Radials at about 20 psi

I know I should get a Spohn torque arm but I am looking for a way to get traction quick and I am getting these things at a local speed shop this week. What other "tricks" can improve my 60 foot time???

take off your front sway bar.

get either some drag radials, ET streets, or slicks.

then try again... if you're getting wheelhop (you'll notice it easier in the burnout box then at the line) then get some LCA relocation brackets.

the swaybar alone should cut a tenth off that. (cheap too)

I have Drag Radials that I am going to use next time. If I remove the sway bar won't my car handle real bad? I have to drive 75 miles to the track on curvy roads and on the interstate and I don't want to wreck, but it's good to know that about the bar.

EDIT: I can't remove it at the track either, I have to run how my car leaves my house.

its not as bad as you would think.

when you touch the gas, the front drivers side lifts more, but thats about it.

under normal driving, or even under emergency swerving, you're ok.

just dont go fooling around on curvy roads, or autocrossing.

try this: take the bar off tonight, and just drive around the block.. get a feel for what i mean.. it wont make it undrivable.. it'll handle like a 70s land barge, but its perfectly fine for SANE street driving....

normally, i run as she sits on the street... keeps be slower since im in a vert that doesnt have a rollbar...... but when i go all out, i take mine off before i goto the strip, and put it on when i go home

every serious drag racer in the local Fbody club has theirs off all the time...

the diff will amaze you if you havent done it before.

I have no will power! LOL, I am prolly gonna take it off cause I'll do just about anything for that extra tenth at the strip. Thanks!

better weight distribution = better 60 foot = better et.

the front end lifts more at launch letting the rear end squat down and tha puts more weight to the rear tires for better hooking.

also get some adjustable drag shocks for front, and set them to super soft.

call me silly, but i do the same thing.

im still drifting on the edge of traction, the only diff being that instead of drifting at 70, im doing the same corners around 50..

but im a idiot and wouldnt reccomend anyone to attempt driving like that.... lol.

honestly, im probly going to buy spohns big sway bars in a lil while.... but i have higher prioritys first... i like turning too much to leave the bars off all the time..

MrDude, could I just unbolt my endlinks from my sway bar at the track and leave the sway bar on? Will it be fine just hanging on from the main bushings?

yea you can do that... ive done that before too.

i just started taking it off because its weight on the nose of the car.

btw, if you havent taken them off yet, get a scrub brush and clean the grit off the top of the endlink bolts, then spray some WD40 on them before you goto take them off..... otherwise the grit makes it hard to take off.
