EIBACH PRO KIT vs Stock IROC springs

Does anyone are they a similar spring rate? I looked on Eibach site but they dont have the information available.

Are the EIBACH PRO Kits stiffer then the IROC-Z springs as I would hate to get something softer.

I remember reading those threads before so searching for them was easier for me. I just got the pro kit last week & will install them soon! I'll let you know how they are if I get them on before you get them. Good luck!

i had the pro-kit, now i have moog iroc springs. the moogs are stiffer!! i hated my prokit because i felt it was too soft for its ride height. i went to 600lb moog coils and will be keeping them for a while. get a moog catalog if you want more choices as they list even heavier front springs. they also cost less t han half as much as the eibach

Thanks for the tip laiky. I'm gonna try out my prokit since I got them already to see for myself. I'm still gonna get a Moog catalog for future use though. Thanks

Moog are 600LB and the Eibachs are over 700LB so what's up with that?

So how come the moog are stiffer.

BTW Are the Moog also lowering springs? Where should I source them if I wanted to check them out and what part number is it for a set of lower then stock springs by 1 - 1.5" or so.

the moogs are meant as stock replacements, they do not lower the car, the fronts are easy to cut though. Many people aren't comfortable with cutting although as far as fronts go its pretty easy and accepted as OK. i suspect that Eibach isn't entirely truthful when they state there rates. There was a clear difference in the feel though. Moog also lists stiffer than stock springs for the car. i think up to around 700-750. I cant quite remember.

i will have to check the numbers but 7556/7552 come to mind. i was very unhappy with my eibach's. if you are definately getting Lowering springs i like the guldstrand slalom springs. My brother has been running them for over 10 years, they have a great stance, are pretty stiff and don't seem to cause ground cleaance issues. They are however very firm riding and will require a good strut/shock to control them. Interestingly enough the guldstrand coils are supposed to be trimmed moogs.
