These are the lug nuts and caps that come on a '92 with 5-spoke 15 x 7" alloy wheels. Notice how large the wheel seat taper is. If you replace these with a chrome acorn style lug the proper items are referred to as 'bulge taper' lug nuts.

Another angle.

Seeing your second post you may want to inquire on the history and restoration board.

thanks... those look familiar.. most of the ones on the car are not sitting in the rim right and i figured they had to have some type of seat to them.

Stock design: most early 80’s f-bodies got the lug nuts that look like a standard acorn lug nut but are actually a steel nut with a thin, steel shell pressed over them. When the shell gets damaged/falls off they end up being an odd size and next to impossible to remove.

The "caps" on these lugs are not removable. They are 2 pieces that are "machined" together. They were not very popular because the two pieces tend to come apart especially if you use impact wrenches on them. If the cap came off the nut underneath would not fit your lug wrench that is in the car. Many people replace them with other black lug nuts, unless you want the car to be "original". I still use them mainly because I like my car to stay as original as possible and I never use impact wrenches on the lug nuts.
