Surprised you ask after you made the purchase.
From what I have read/heard - Tokio make a good replacement strut and shock upgrade, especially considering the $ you spend on them. (ebay has many vendors selling complete kits for a decent price). This said, I think that even after you do a search on here (tgo) you will find many ranging opinions about them. I guess it all depends on what your budget and intended use is/was...
Are you racing the car, just needing replacments etc,....

I have them, I've only installed the rears due to tools and cold, but I notice the rear is much better. Even with the stock springs it's very stiff, but still rides nice, not at all cadillac smooth, but great for a sport car. Good updgrade from blown/stockers.

Street, track and drifting, kind of weekend warrior kinda stuff. I'm doing mostly suspension stuff correcting factory oddities (SBCS, bigger sways, strut plates, wonder bar and such). I like the turns. Tokicos are good for that.

FAST 89TA, Any updates on the tokico setup you purchased, just bought a new project car and was leaning toward the spring/shock combo.

Thanks

Re: Just purchased Tokico shocks/ springs

I've got Tokico's on all four cornors, they work pretty well. The rides pretty aggressive and rough, but thats to be expected. The handling, along with the rest of my suspension mods, is supurb.

Re: Just purchased Tokico shocks/ springs

absolutly the best I could have asked for. 500 bucks, free shipping. and it only took a few hours to put em in. I imediatly was able to take corners at 70 that i was taking at 45-50 before. (new tires would be nice tho)

Re: Just purchased Tokico shocks/ springs

$500? i got them off ebay for 420 shipped. i like them, i ended up triming 3/8 of a coil off all 4 corners to get it to sit perfect, didnt effect the ride or hadling in any negative ways only down side is that when i lift the rear off the ground ,and let the rear hang, the rear springs will un-index them selves due to the fact that theres 3/4 of an inch in play in the springs when the shocks are fully extended, still havent found a good way of keeping them in yet, plus after 2 weeks the springs settle and alot of the harsh ride goes away but the hadling remains, i think therre about as stiff as the factory iroc springs, just the way the shocks changed the handling of my car made it worth the money for me, that and some new poly bushings in the control arms/pahhard really make the car feel like new again, plus adjusting the steering box really made the biggest improvement, especially at high speed, before i did the steering adjustment the car was scary lose feeling after, nice and tight, just the way i like it
