Re: Lowered third gens
I have an 87 as well, and went with the Sportlines. I was worried that I would be dragging the front spoiler all over the place, but I really don't have that problem. Of course you have to really angle the car in certain driveways, but I had to do that before.
I love the look of it and I am happy I did it. No problems here.

AFTER:

You appreciate the difference even better in real life. I love the stance the sportlines gave it. Just makes the car look sleeker and meaner in my opinion.
(Remember that the sportlines are the more aggresive drop over the Prokit from Eibach. The sportlines are: 1.6" in the front and 1.3" in the rear. The Prokit is 1.0" all around. With sagging springs, there might not even be a whole hell of a lot of difference with your car.)
Take it easy!

Try doing a search. There are loads of threads with this info.
Re: Lowered third gens
I lowered my 89 GTA 1" and would not do it again. Just 1" makes a big difference in hitting under the car. It looks good but not worth it. Keep in mind I live in the North East and the roads are crap. If I lived in the south or west it would be ok. The frost around here makes for some good bumps at times.

i went with the Sportlines with my 87 formula 350 and i love it, the stance is soo much better and the performance is alot better as well. im runnin true 3" duals with an xpipe and turn downs and im doing ok as far as hitting, i just have to watch really big speed bumps and railroad tracks/huge dips, go with the sportlines bc all other 1" drop kits dont get rid of the stock *** dragging stance. i posted the pics and the process with parts a while back maybe 4 months, do a search

go 1"
I bought my car with a 2" drop in place. It was awful. Bang, scrape on EVERYTHING ! I felt I could hardly drive the car any hwere unless I knew it was a very good road.

Re: Lowered third gens
I've got 235/50/18's on the car and i want to lower it. Right now i am able to get three fingers between the fender and the top of the tire. Can someone recommend which lowering springs i should get. I thought about sportlines but i am afraid that they might be to low.
