backspacing and fittment of a 15 x 10 wheel

i know this has been covered many times, and i have searched, but i have not found one defnitive answer.

is it possible to fit a 10" wide wheel on my camaro without doing any tubbing, mini tubbing, excessive hammering, etc. ?

if so, what would i need as far as backspacing goes and other measurements?

10" rim, 5.5" backspace.

Does it fit without modifications and hammering? It depends on what size tire you want to put on that rim. Some tires fit with no problems. Others need work.

I'm running 15x10 with 5.5 bs. The tires are Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials 275/60r15. They fit with no rubbing.

I have weld pro stars (15 x 10) with MT 26x11.5x15 ET streets and i didnt have to do any hammering. Its an 82 i dont know if that matters or not. Thats also at 30 psi, dont know about a lower psi yet.

I was running Hoosier quicktime pro 26x11.50x15's without problems and I've gone up to a 28x9x15 Hoosier slick. They both had about the same section width so no sidewall rubbing.
