Did anyone have fit problems with Spohn sub-frame connectors??
I just tried a trial fit with mine today. I plan on having them welded on next week and just wanted to make sure nothing was in the way so I can save time and money. I loaded the chassis like your suppose to, the passenger side is fine just had to rotate an exhaust clamp out of the way. The passenger side has a hole cut in it for a screw that is on the body, but it's aligned for the hole in front of the one on my car, in order for it to fit properly I will have to cut the hole a little longer or break the tack welds on the screw and try to fit it in the other hole. Also it seems like the front part end that is shaped to fit the floor pan seems to be off a little but haven't really confirmed that yet seeing as that screw wouldn't allow complete alignment. I'll try and fit them again tomarro to verify. By the way these are the SLP version so I didn't have the hole cut out on the passenger side.
I just wanted to know if anyone has had any little fit proplems with theres. It's not a big deal just curious.

Yeah, that driver's side bolt on the rocker panel (there is none on the pass. side) varies from car to car for some reason. I've run into that here doing installs as well. I just remove the bolt, it's spot welded on and pops right off with a chisel.

Thanks Steve. I thought that was a little odd anyways, why would they have the one screw there when the rest is spot welded. What's the purpose of the screw.

Hey Steve,
Just wondering if this is a problem you've ever run into. On the driver side connector I removed the screw and just relocated it to the hole in front so now it lines up perfectly with the cut hole in the connector, but I ran into a little trouble with the front of the bar that's shaped to fit the front frame just behind the front tire. It seems like it wasn't cut out long enough to fit that contour just like a 1/4" more and it would have fit perfectly. This is no big deal it won't require much work to fix it but currious if you've ran into the same problem, and how you took care of it? Did you cut a notch in the frame or in the connector? I know alot of cars vary and some may require a little extra work to fit properly. I'm not dissatisfied with my order at all. They fit perfectly other than what I mentioned even the passenger side I thought I would have to adjust my exhaust but they followed the floor so good that I didn't have to, all I had to do was rotate an exhaust clamp out of the way.
I plan on taking them in to get welded next week I'm just trial fitting them right now to make sure everything lines up. I just want to beable to tell him what to expect when he goes to weld them in.

That bolt has no purpose that I can see.
Anyway, yeah I've run into that also. Every car is different, on one car it will have a gap to that front area, the next car it's a tight fit like you have. The easiest fix is to just slot the hole on the rear mounting plate where it bolts to the front LCA mount, that will allow you to pull the SFC back a tad.

Mine fit perfect, the only thing that would have made a better fit is if the passenger side would have had about 1/4" less angle bend in it where it passes under the seats, it had too much clearance under the seat area to get any welds there, I was only able to weld the outer part. They still work very well though, I bet the car feels 50% stiffer now.

Yeah mine fit perfect also just the angle cut on front of driver side bar. It needed to be cut back about a 1/4" more. Other than that they fit beautifly, the passenger side fit like a glove, no complaints. I realize the cars probably differ a little here and there depending on the year.

Are you refering to the bolt that holds the bottom of the fender on ??
I know the SSM Sfc's have a big cut out to deal with that, which i thought was kinda stupid cuz I beat it about an inch over with a hammer so i can weld it anyway.. Not like anyone can see it from up top.

No for the screw I just relocated it. I'm refering to the front on the bar, where it attaches to the front frame, it's cut out to fit the frame. The problem is it's not cut out far enough back, no prob though.
