Did you have to adjust your throttle cable somehow? From inside floored is not WOT on the TBI. It can still go further. And with the TV cable at max TV it shifts way to early and way to soft. Whats up?

I just installed the Edelbrock Performer TBI intake and haven't noticed this problem... what do you mean, that b/c the TBI is not higher up, the throttle blades don't open as much with the same throttle cable movement as before? Please elaborate and I'll check mine...
yeah thats what i mean. full throttle inside the car is not truely full throttle. and now where the TBI is further back the TV cable doesnt want to- adjust right.
oh yeah what is that little bag of parts that came with the intake? did you use that for anything special?

I got mine used, so no bag of parts...
That's interesting - I'll have to check mine. Did you check the TPS voltage while the throttle plates move (either w/a voltmeter on the wires or by looking @ the computer's TPS values with winALDL)? If so, what voltages are you getting throughout the range of motion you get from the pedal's action on the cable/throttle after the new intake. I think I'll check mine this weekend.

i ahd the same problem w/ my 350 when i put the performer intake and carb2tbi adapter on. I just trimmed the cable and recrimped the throttle cable connecter
i might have to try trimming the cables a tad bit. i think i have a couple wires crossed to because i noticed under throttle my timing is jumping around alittle. Soon as i get some time im gonna check that and see what up

careful, the connector on the throttle cable is a real royal pain to get apart. Might even consider getting another connector before you go hacking.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I had the same problem and took forever before I figureed out what was wrong. I ended up taking out the braket and bending it forward a little bit. This allowed the cable to return to its normal length at idle and vice versa at WOT. Try that. You may be able to bend it while it is still bolted to the manifold.

you can also use the connector from the cruse control. I used that one because it want mangled like the throttle connector after i got the two off. My cruise control was dead and i never use it so it didnt bother me to sacrifice it.

as for the tv cable you can put a crimp opn the end of the cable if you want to resize it. i had to resize mine quite a bit to get it to adjust properly. Make sure the crimp is strong enough to take a considerable bit of force. Transfixleo's method requires you to pull on the cable housing at wot position to adjust it properly.
