Pass side valve cover
Pass side valve cover
Well i was trying to put on my elite series valve covers and it looks to be pretty interesting on the passenger side. I cant even see the damn valve cover. Now i know you can delete or relocate the heater valve, but im not sure how.. i searched but didnt find anything explained clear enough for me.. There are two screws holding the thing down and like 3 or 4 hoses going into it.. one goes to the manifold i believe, one to the heater core, and one to the air tubes on the exhaust manifold. Now how do i clean this all up.. so i can get that valvecover on

Just take the screws out so the hoses are loose and undo the one going to the radiator. then you can bend the hoses back and hook them toward the windshield with something while you work on the valve cover.

I just deleted the damn thing. I dont know what the pitfalls of it were, but I ran a line from the intake to the heater core, then the heatercore to the radiator. Then I plugged that vac line and everything seems to be OK.

the beater valve is like the meeting point for coolant between ur heater pipe, core, and intake manifold... if u dont use heat u can eliminate it. or...on the older cars. they run a hose from the water pump to the core... i guess u can do that? Or u can just cut the hoses shorter to move it towards the back of the firewall to get it out of the way.

i deleted mine, i just ran a hose from the water pump to the heater core and from the heater core to the back of the valve cover. that simple. You will have to buy some hose clamps, hose, teflon tape, and 1/2" and 5/8" thread to barb fittings for the intake and water pump.
Alright i know what im doing when it comes to relocating the diverter..? valve now.. but what is that black box near the front of the pass side valve cover and can it be deleted or relocated as well? It has a metal pipe coming from the radiator to the bottom of it and like 3 or 4 hoses as well.
