02--- weird idle?

hi there,

i have a problem.
i have a new tbi engine that comes around 280hp

when i disconnect my o2-sensor it will run very good only at 4000rpm's it's over.(give a code)
my idle is perfect

when i connect my old or new o2-sensor the higher rpm's are perfect but my idle is very bad .(no error's in the computer)
it's going up and down and often the engine quits.

where must i look at?
also have 65 injectors/tbichips-chip/headers/open-airintake.

Is your new motor a 350 TBI? Ar eyou using the stock 305 PROM? If so that would be your problem right there.

Hey Shifty, I think you need to see your eye doctor and get some of those new computor glasses. Both questions you asked were answered in his post. 350? Right under his name. Stock chip? In his signature.

Yea yea everyone is a comedian. I geuss it pays to read the fine print though. I never take anything for granted on this site because some poeple ask questions that are completely unrelated to thier sigs. I do wear glasses though......

Well I sould have at least suggested the Tom do some data logging, then we can see whats really going on and maybe give him a better answer. I just sounds like it needs more prom tuning but a little more info would help.

Steve,

i, live in Holland(Europe) and data-logging over here is very expensive and very difficult.

i sent the specs of my new engine to TBICHIPS.com and they sent me a chip for this engine overhere.

i think my injectors for my idle are to big but for the rest of hte rpm.s i need them.

maybe another chip'??

i set the timing with the wire off on 0 degrees
the prom set the timing good isn't it?

thanks Tom

Tom, if you have a laptop pc or can borrow one then you can get a data logging program called WinALDL for free and make a cable to hook up to your car for cheep. Just click on this web address and you will find everything you need.

www.winaldl.webhop.net
