I have the manifold on after a lot of cleaning and preparing, I have it torqued down and followed everything to the T. Hopefully I put enough RTV on the end seals, but only time will tell....ANYWAY, I have it bolted on and torqued to the recommended 25ft.-lbs. but I have not installed all the brackets or anything. I will have to remove some of the bolts to install the brackets, but thats no biggie, I just tightened down for the RTV to set. My question is, how the heck do you use the power brake booster bracket?? The stock booster set up isn't long enough to reach as it did on the stock manifold. Also, what other brackets needed adjusting to get it all on and running??? Pics would be great! I need to get this thing started to see if I used enough RTV! Help!

I did not use any of the brackets on mine. I got rid of the engine hoist hooks and I think thats about it. I actually cut off the brake booster bracket because it was sorta in the way and did not bolt up very easy. Id doesn't really have to be bolted down since the hard line makes it structualy sound as it sits. The pic if sorta blurry but I will dig up another one later. Notice the cut off tab I was talking about.

EDIT: You will want to drill and tap the front AC brace. If not you could snap a bolt from your accessory bracket off into your head. Ask me how I found that out.

yup, i did the same thing, just cut that bracket that holds the brake booster vacuum line and fuel lines. I had no problem hooking mine up.

Thanks for the help guys, its really appreciated, I've been spending way too long on this intake swap. More pics would be great! Also, what do you mean by "Id"? Did you have to use a longer hose with the booster to have it not rest on the oil cap?

Nope. What you see in the pic is stock tubing and everything. It has a soft line at that valve thingy that will give a little. You can pull on it a bit and it will screw in.

Thanks again for the response guys! Another question I have has to do with all the fixtures that I had to swap from the stock intake...you know, the power brake booster fitting, the coolant temperature sensor, the heater hose connector in the back, and the thing that screws in right behind the TBI and has a little hose that connects to it...probably something to do with EGR or something. Well, how tight do I torque all those down to???

That thing on the back is for your map sensor. When you screw the sensors back in should see a line on the threads where they are clean. Just screw them in to that point for reference. Basically you want things snug but not too tight. The threads on that intake can be stripped really easily. I had to heli-coil one of mine but that was do to my negligence. I would use a little anti sieze on the threads as well so that it helps seal from coolant and such but also allows you to get them out in the future.
