Carb to TBI

I have a 305 TBI in my 92. I am getting a 350 carbed to drop in it. Will the TBI off of the 305 work on the 350. The reason I want to keep the TBI is because I am in Germany and I want to bring the car back home with as little trouble as possible. If this will work can I just bolt it on or what mods will I have to do?

What type of power will the 350 make? If it is not too wild you can run the stock TBI unit off of the 305. You will need to run a 350 TBI specific kock sensor and fuel injectors. You should really look into chip work and or run at least a caprice LO5 chip (assuming that 350 is very mild).

It is a GMPP crate carbed 350 (used of course) w/ @ 250hp. I want to make this work very bad. Its hard to find that kind of engine over here for this cheap. If those mods you said would work where would I find them. Speaking of chips hows about one out of a vette. Would that work any better? Throwin out ideas....thanks

If the carb to tbi wont fly where can I find out how to make the carb work. Also would I have to bypass the computer?

In the tech articles on the main page there is a write up on that swap.

I would find/buy a 350 caprice chip and use that for now.

Where is back home? If you're bringing it back home to, say, California that carb idea won't fly with Ca emissions. I assume you need it to pass smog, right? You might want to post in one of the regional boards to find out what you can get away with in your area.If you put your TBI on it you'll need to modify 4 of your intake manifolds bolt holes IF the heads are pre 1987.
