I feel your pain, when i did mine before removing all the smog **** and lotsa of pesky in the way stuff it took me 3 hours on a lift to do them too (i'm definetly not proud of this) and most of done it much faster. Now that the air pump lines are outa the way and some junk is relocated it takes about 20-50 mins to do plugs and wires correctly (antiseize on wires and plug thread and checking all the gaps).

Too easy. Try LT1.

The best way to do the plugs are jacking the car up so you can lean against the car as you pull plugs 1,2,3,4,5 from the top and then dive underneath to get the rest. Buy a spark plug socket and use a bench grinder to "shorten" the socket. Use a spark plug for reference so you dont grind too much off. Use a 5/8 wrench on the socket you made for the tight spaces.

Tip: Grind from both ends of the socket. Slp makes one for 30 bucks. You can make your own for 5.00.

Too easy. Try VAN with headers or 454 in Van

LS1s are a PITA as well.

Becuase I got them for free (worked for Autozone at the time) and the other set was a dirty, crappy set from a 200,000 mile 350 TBI.

Because HE knows they're there. Half the stuff we do to our cars are for the same reason.

Agreed. You can also get one off of ebay for $9. Try a search or two using key words like "spark plug socket" and you will get all kinds of info and pictures. They make plug swaps very easy.

The hardest car that I have changed plugs on to date is a V6 4th gen.
