Fuel System Cleaner

Hello
I have a ping problem in my truck.
I have tuned it up and set the timeing to factory.
It only pings under certain conditions, but it really ticks me.
What would be the best fuel cleaner to try and get the carbon off?
I have tried a couple of expensive ones at Wal-Mart and they didn't help.
I heard GM has a good one, but I am intrested in Thirdgen's different opinions.
Thanks

I have run higher octain fuel and it stoped pinging.
I have the Timing adjusted to the stock settin, no advance.
My vehicle should not ping therefore I would like to clean the carbon off.
Does anyone know of a good product to use?
GM or Autozone or W-M are places I thought I might be able to get a good one.
The thing is that I don't want to try every product to find one good one.
Please don't try and talk me out of cleaning the carbon off my motor.
thanks

the best way to carbon clean your engine is free (assuming water is free in your area)...just fill a spray bottle w/water and have someone sit in your car and hold it at about 2,000 RPM's (just so the throttle blades are open enough)...just mist the water down the throttle bores then watch your exhuast tip(s)...if there is a lotta carbon you'll see black moisture comming out the back...when i first got my car i did this and there were 2 huge black spots bellow both of the turn-downs in my driveway...just don't get nuts w/the water cuz we all know what happens to rods lol...good luck

Thanks that a pretty good idea, but I won't be spraying anything in there unless my mechanic is there telling me what to do.

Has anyone heard of this Crap GM is selling?
I heard it was good.
