Re: air cleaner box

ive never seen that before what year is it off of? probably be hard to find one. but remember an fbodys engine compartment is smaller than that one we have less room everything is cluttered. it might work as long as it doesnt hit anything the drivers side should be fine but the passenger side would be a tight squeeze with a/c. also youll have to be clever where to run those ducts.

Re: air cleaner box

must be from a special model caprice because i see those old caprices all the time and non of them have had that air box on it. if you attempt to find one good luck to ya. nice find though looks like it could be made to work with a little finaggling.

Re: air cleaner box

its a 91-93 TBI Caprice, and the intake doesnt look factory, unless its a 9C1 thing, which is pretty rare.

Re: air cleaner box

That's a stock Caprice airbox that's been modified. Stock it only has the air inlet shown on the right, and it uses a more restrictive inlet system than the one in the picture. Somebody added the air inlet on the left of the housing, and swapped to less restrictive snorkels than the single stock one, which also has a goofy resonator.

Re: air cleaner box

Thats similar to the piece of crap ford design. It works but it looks way too easy for it to suck dirt, at least on fords design.

Re: air cleaner box

looks like a good idea but still really restrictive "looking" imo
