Ok my alternative efi problem, I'm going to use a 454 TBI, will it fit?

On a 350TBI in a 1995 chevy 1500 with a 4L60E tranny, will it bolt in? I'm planing on running a 4 barrel carb intake when I get the TBI adapters, then a tune when I up the fuel pump. So would this work? How much would I expect in HP with an open element air filter, long tube headers, (the sh*t I listed above), stroked to a 383, and flat top pistons? What cam would you guys recommend? Also how about heads? Thinking of going with vortec.

454 tbi will not bolt straight on to stock intake. you'll have to bore out the intake or buy an adapter spacer. Jegs' offers one for the HOlley 670 tbi which is like the 454 one. Now if your running a carb intake I dont know if you'll have to run two adapters or not.

Alright thanks, I was just wondering how this would work cause adapters for adapters doesn't sound too good.

well i dont have experienece with using a carb intake for a tbi. Id imagine you could machine the carb to tbi adapter to fit the bigger bores of the 454 tbi. or you can get the stock adapter for 454 tbi engines and use that. thier is a thread on here somewhere.

Too many questions rammed into one post but let me see if I can cover.

1) The 454 Throttle Body uses 2" bores vs. 1-13/16" bores used by V6 (4.3 L) and SBC TB (5.0 and 5.7L). To bolt BBC to 4-BBl carb intake make sure that adapter plate has 2" bores. Also - make sure that 4 BBL has an open plenum. BBC IAC uses a different style connector. TPS connector maybe different as well depending on BBC vintage.

2) If you are planning to build a 383 (with additional air flow of BBC TB) you'll have to run VRFPR since running 80 or 90 lb-Hr injectors at idle will result in a rich condition (injector pulse width gets too short and can not be controlled accurately). Expect extensive tuning - it is not a simple task. I suggest that you study this in greater detail before launching into this endeavor. There are several 383 vortec builds - use search function.

3) With Vortec heads, good exhaust and reasonably sized cam you can expect easily hit above 300 HP mark with tons of torque from a mildly built 383. I can not recommend cam since you do not know if your 95 350 has a roller cam or flat tappet. It should be a roller, but I can not be sure.

Charge, with your plan you can expect FAILURE.

Please follow the RFmaster's advice.

lol but thank you for the information and I really appreciate the help you guys give out, but I have to be more direct with my questions and rely on others answers. I'll just stick with the regular throttle body and use a 4bbl intake with the adapter plate for my air flow. Good enough.

Well, not everything that you read on internet is 100% true. As with any technical hobby there is plenty of partially correct information, half truth's and outright false information. Along the way, you have to figure out how to filter false stuff out. Getting your hands on actual hardware, tinkering with it and making it work helps tremendously. I'll be the first to admit that I've made plenty of errors, and will make a few in the future as well.

This is my 383 TBI fed by BBC TB on the engine test stand. TBI harness was sourced from JY 'burban' and modified (somewhat). Test stand was not meant to be pretty, but it is fully functional (I run my engines, look for leaks, basic idle tune, etc)
