Ram Air Box Pics
looks good but also looks like a pain in the *** to take off to do anything under the hood...all that tape has to be hard to get off...im assuming you just remove the bolts holding in the intake parts (i hope you got that) and then remove the whole thing? where did you get that setup?
where did ya get it and how much did it set ya back, if ya dont' mind saying????
does it come with the open element???
where also did you get the tubes going to it???
thanks for the info
sorry if i'm asking you to repeat yourself

I just remove the whole thing whenever I need to do something. I remove the four bolts on the snokels and the wing nut and it will lift right off. I don't like the whole tape deal because it doesn't look real "finished" but it is all I can find for right now and it works.
I got the setup at http://www.ramairbox.com They have specific kits that are for 82-92 TBI Camaros. I just got the 14X3 @110 deg. box and the 4in snorkel because I already had the 14X3 K&N open element. I paided $118 if I remember right, but a full kit will set you back about $165 including filter. I got a 2 tenth and 1 mph improvement over the open element.

Man, those snorkels end directly where my holes from my ASCD Ram air hood go to. That would make a great ram air setup for my hood. What part number is that and how much did it cost? Also, was ur open element assembly a drop-base or non-drop base? I am seriously considering on getting one of those now.

The element is a non-drop base and I'm not sure of the part numbers but check the website out and look under "kits" and pick out the part numbers you need from their list. Another thing...you can no longer buy a 4in driver's side snorkel from them (or anywhere) directly because GM has discontinued them. You will have to do some junk yard searching for that or 91bird305 you can chose from their long list of different snorkel to fit your hood design.
And...you will either have to cut a clearance hole in the rear of the box and then lay it in with fiberglass, or clearance the rear inner diameter of the base of the box to let it sit far enough formard to clear the distributor. I have a pic of what I did but it is too big it will not let me post it

And if it is I wonder what kind of snorkel could replace them? The cutouts under my hood are on both sides and circular. I wonder if I could get some type of circulor snorkel that comes directly up to the holes. Hmm.... Supreme Member

'Something like this maybe. And just make them shoot up into the cutouts instead of like ur snorkels. But I am not sure how I would go about doing that and anchoring them down.

i just did mine , no pics yet tho.....you can get 4" flexible duct at home depot............
I got mine at a local hardware store. Get the exspensive stuff that is a lot more rigid and durable. The snorkels were discontinued when I got the thing back in Sept. of last year. I went up to a local GM dealer to check it out and sure enough...he could pull the part number but it came up discontinued
