I'm no expert so wait for others opinions, but seems that this cam works very well with 305s. Check www.jegs.com or give them a call, sorry I don't know the part # right now.

this is the one i bought for my 305 they say they designed it for the 305 in particular, dont know the specs on the comp but compare them for yourself, thats how i bought mine, compared it to a crane http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...RTNUMBER=51002

and dont crap yourself at the price i think it was 250 at summit, the manufacturer is always way high........

I think that SLP is a roller cam.

The Crane PowerMax 266 (.440 and .454 lift) is excellent.

Selecting the right cam depends on your overall combination and intended usage. If your car is all stock internally, factory rear gear, and its a daily driver I would go with:

Crane 114122 204/214 dur @.050 .423/.446 lift
or
Comp XE250H 206/212 dur @.050 .432/.444 lift

If you had better heads,exhaust,gears,etc.. You would benefit from a larger cam.

Well, if you phone Comp on their toll free line they will tell you to use their XE 256. .447 and .454 lift.

Some people like the XE 262, while others say it makes for a lazy bottom end.
