serpentine help
how do you remove a serpentine belt? what does the tensioner look like?

the tensioner is where the idler pulley is.. is up high on the engine acessories.. i usually take a racket and stick it in hole then press down to pull the idler puller high enough to get the belt to come off, it takes 2 minutes to change a belt, just make sure you follow the right path of the belt..
good luck

Hm, that's an interesting pic. I don't like that routing very much, since the ribs will ride on the idler. Is the spring reversed?
Kinda cool that the alternator is in the smog pump position; I'm assuming to make room for a turbo or two.

Here is a pic iroczrockz posted yesterday, it shows his routing to bypass the smog pump and compressor, and in the lower left hand corner is a diagram of the real routing. The tensioner is centered in the pic.
