350 Buildup Options What Do You Think?
Alright i need some help building my engine. I want it to be a 355 that going to be able to handle a TNT nitrous wet kit 150-200hp kit. I want the engine to push around 350-400hp without the nitrous. This is going in an 88 GTA. Heres my thoughts so far.
AFR 190cc or 195cc heads
Holley Stealth Ram Intake
Comp. Xtreme Energy Cam 276/281 224/230 .503/.510 112LS
Comp Cam Pro Magnum 1.6 roller rockers
SLP 1 3/4" Headers
3" Cut-Out
3" Flowmaster Exhaust
52mm Holley Throttle Body
Custom Cold Air Intake
B&M 2400 Holeshot Torque Converter
3.70 gears (9 bolt)
Spohn suspension ( torque arm, LCA, LCA relocation brackets, and panhard bar)
I'd like to here your comments on this setup.
I also would like to here some suggestions on building the bottom end of the engine.
Also if 400hp is possible with this setup:lala:

all arp bolts/ fasteners/main studs after market main caps and crank just to be sure. A good ignition system and make sure you run colder plugs and a more rich air/fuel ratio. Good fuel with octane boost as well. The slp headers are not long tubes are they, if not maybe go with the hooker 1 3/4 long tubes to give you more bottom end tork. Just my 2 cents.

I'd go with the Hooker cat-back, my personal taste, sound clip in sig.
I think for what that motor is costing, which won't be cheap, why skimp and get the B&M converter?? they're not the best, plus that is kind of a low stall, you could benefit from a higher one.

Yeah I was also thinking of going with a Viglante converter.
I planned on having all the internals forged, but what would you recommend for pistons, and rods and such?
Thanks

What to choose.
Everything you have picked out sounds great. The 3.70 gears might be a touch deep. They will work yes..But you need to ask yourself is this car going to be a daily driver? If it is going to be a daily driver I would suggest a 3.42 or a ratio close to that..I own a 92 z stock with 700R4 and 3.23 gears and the deepest I would go is 3.42 just to many revs with anything deeper. Enjoy that ride...Later...

Yeah I wasn't quite sure on the gear ratio yet but it will be for the street and strip, mainly the strip though. I'll probably drive it around town some on the weekends but not very much. :hail:
