Need help with my engine combo please.

Before someone tells me to search "It isnt working". This will be a daily driver also. 89 Formula 350 TPI with auto

Ok this is what I have. L98 block bored .03 over,Edelbrock 190 aluminum heads(2.02/1.6 valves),SLP 1 3/4 coated headers(no air),Edelbrock cat back(no cat),self ported and matched plennum and stock runners, and will be using the ford injectors, I also have everything i need to burn my chips(still reading up on that).also will be going with about a 2400 stall.

My question is cam and Roller rocker ratio. these are the cams im looking at. What would be better for me or any other suggestions are welcome. Also are 1.6 RR worth it?

ZZ4 cam
Hot Cam

What kind of power should i expect?

You can't beat the hot cam for the price. I'd take the hot cam over the zz3/4, but there are others out there that are better...

Although a bit pricy, ya might wanna consider a LPE 74211 cam. It's designed especially for TPI.
That's what I'll be using in my TPI383 eng. along with 1.6 Comp Pro Mags.

As far as power goes, the stock runners and intake will hold you back from making any serious HP gains.

Thanks do you have a link to that cam?

I have looked at the aftermarket runners and intakes but with everything else im doing at this time its out of my budget for now.
but its easy to add down the road.

What intake would you recomend?

I'm planning on a Accel intake, mainly to keep it all LPE/Accel.

I 2nd the LPE 211. A little pricey, but proven to be a great performer with TPI. No experience with those heads, but if everything is done right and tuned, I don't see why you can't run high 12's.
