bad vibration, PLEASE HELP ME

my car is the only reliable transportation that i have so this is a big deal to me.
my car vibrates like crazy. my dash acts like it is going to fall off. when i first got my engine installed, august, it was fine but now it keeps getting worse. i had a large gouge all the way around my back tires after the body rubbed on them when i hit a bump so i had them balanced today and now it seems worse, like maybe the tires and other inbalance weighed eachother out a alittle. my car doesnt vibrate unless i give it gas. doesnt matter how much gas i give it. if my foot is off the pedal, its fine. the rotating assembly was balanced and everything on the engine is new, including the damper, so i dont think its the engine. the driveshaft was balanced by a shop that has a reputation for good work, and i have new u-joints. that leaves my axles and tranny and tq convertor. they all seemed to be fine before so im lost. the faster i go, the worse it is but it does it in all 3 gears(TH-400) and all rpms! please help me. my truck sucks and gets like 5 mpg so i dont want to drive it long. thanks, sorry for the long post

it does vibrate a litlle under 2000, but it is in no way as extreme as the vibration described above. i am leaning toward the tq convertor because of the small vibration in park/neutral and due to only vibrating when accelerating as described above. but i would like second opinions. thanks

One thing to take in consideration is your alignment to make sure its good then proceed from there. What type of engine do you have and what type of harmonic balancer is on it? Let me know what you find.

Check your u-joints. Mine was doing the same thing, vibe when I was on the throttle, no vibe when I let off. In my case the front joint was real bad.

It's a 30 minute job with a few basic tools.

hth!

Keeps getting worse would make you think someting is getting looser and looser. Did you check the bolts around the bell housing to the motor while you where checking the bolts on the torque converter to flexplate?
