Z won't turnover.
My car has been sitting for the last 4 months(it started 2 months ago) and it won't turnover now.It now has a new battery and the alternator is a year old so it may not be them. When I turn the key I do hear the fuel pump whine so it's not that.I did notice a 3 things though:1-the service engine light stays on and my power hatch-release button doesn't work. 3 The positive battery cable has these skinny red wires in its' loom that are exposed but it has always been like that since I bought the Z.The cable does however actvates the fuel pump when I have the ignition on and I jiggle that + cable. Any ideas?

Try jumping it... battery could be dead. If it was 2 winter months, it probably is.
Z-Man,
You probably have a connection problem. If you can get the fuel pump to cycle by moving the wires, it's not a good situation. The pump should cycle for two seconds only once when the ignition is first turned on. If you can get it to cycle again by moving the wires, you are breaking the ECM power circuit somehow.

Ok well that answers the + cable problem but what about the others?the power hatch-release button not working(it did before),the service engine light stays on and finally...it won't turnover/start.I have power to everything else too. Neutral safety switch?
edit: I falled to mention, just remembered, that the old battery had a bad terminal the part that the cable connects to.All the jiggling happened when I was trying to tighten the connetion but couldn't really. So i got the new battery anyway.
