How often to adjust valves....
Just wondering on the intervals for tightening up the valvetrain when you get a new motor. I have a longblock that just hit 10k miles and I haven't pulled a valve cover yet, I figure it's time to tighten them up....I can hear them a little tiny bit, especially with the hood up.
After this adjustment, how long until the next one? 15-20k miles?

Is this a solid or hydraulic lifter cam?
Theoretically, once a hydraulic is properly adjusted, there should be no more adjustment necessary for the life of the engine, unless abnormal wear occurs, a stud pulls, etc.

i've never adjusted the valves on my 88' roc since i got it. i finally decided to pull the covers and adjust them. yeah they were loose. some were extermely loose. after the adjustment boy the car felt way better, power wise.
definite worthwhile job/repair. of course my car has 117K now compared to the 78K when i got it.
