2 V8's in one car?

sometime down the road I want to put another V8 in my camaro
I figure you could build bolth of them up to have 700 HP each and and make it a all wheal drive since you would have to completely change the drivetrain all the gears an stuff. Im leaving out alot of details in this plan but basicly it would comeout 1400 HP AWD monster around 5,000 ibs. Has anyone else thought or done this?

it will fit all in if you look at the size if your engin bay and your trunk put the gass tank near the roof. one big problem is connecting the drivelines to the same one and asumming the the engines will move at different speeds. if you figure this out you could also turn one off if not needed. I know that one of the german car companys are making a car with 2 seperate engins in it maby they have some of the parts you would need to adapt to. the idea isn't that far fetched. just costly

i've seen FWD cadillacs done up where the trunk had a northstar engine in it as well.....very cool, and very heavy. not to mention.....cut your gas mileage in half

Also the Hairy Hurst Olds of the late 60's has 2 8-71 supercharged 425 (?) ci v8's. The front one was hooked to a toranado front wheel drive system. It would smoke all 4 tires the whole way down the dragstrip.

The Hurst 442s was the first thing that came to mind. I just dont know how comfortable it would be between two hod burning engines. Hopefully this post wont get pulled or locked because it has been the trend lately.

O brother. I can't fathom what it would look like. Sounds beasty. Pics or a sketch would further enlighten us.

Renault (sp?) made a production 2 engine car back in the 80's call the Alpine. It had a 6 in front and a 4 in the rear and was all wheel drive and was butt ugly to boot.

Why not just drop in a Chevy 700 V16???

I remember when it was made and shown in Hotrod years back.

The father and sun team use a special over to weld two 350 V8s into one hunk, the bock, head, cam and crank were welded in that fashion.

Well y not just drop in a V-12 then =], There would not be enough room under the hood for a block too much larger than a BB, But who knows u maybe able to run a v->8 in there.

What about removeing the fenders, could therbe enough room with a little lift, to fit two 8s side by side?
