why are my hinges bolted?

Why are the hinges on my doors bolted instead of welded like they are supposed to be?

Look at the pics and you'll see

Look pretty normal to me... spot-welded to the door, and bolted to the car, like all the rest of them...

Actually now that i think about it, my car has been in a few wrecks. Theres lots of body damage. Maybe both the doors are bolted now becuase they were replaced. Makes since becuase when they prepped my car to be painted, one of the fenders had 8 different colors on it. I think it was a used one myself.

And no, they are not spot welded, or anything. The top and bottom are both bolted to the car.

Hey kidrcth , don't take this the wrong way but, why is it all your threads recently you've either asked a basic question and then argued with the answers, or, you ask a question that you inevitably answer for yourself a few posts down? Are you really young, or is this a shared account? Just curious.

Its entirly possible that theyve been messed up in an accident and replaced, The only thing thats still origional on my car is whats left of the body. Both fenders, hood, front facia, doors, hatch, windows, t-tops, etc. are all from other cars. If these cars could talk...
