vacuum line question

The bottom vacuum line that comes off the passenger side of the TB and goes to the Exhaust canister looks as if it is pinched shut at one point. It is like it is being sucked shut though. when i turn off the engine it returns to it's normal state. what would cause this and what kind of weird things may it cause the vehicle to do?

You could have a restriction in the line or it could just be getting worn out.

What causes that is usually old vacuum lines get weak and don't support there shape when the pressure increases.

It will affect any systems its part of by taking away the vacuum feed for that line. Change it out. If its a car you plan on keeping for awhile find the nice silicone ones, they hold there shape over time better and have more strength and resistence to corrosion.

Wow thats one way to get your post count up fast

It could cause idle problems, you might as well replace both those lines one is a 7/32 line that goes to the side of the TB the other is a 5/32 line that connect to a T fitting, one part going to a port on the bottom of TB the other going back to you EGR solenoid.
