Electrical Problems

Short Story: New ignition put in, car overheats car wont start.

The car will crank with a push button ignition, But the injectors on the TBI wont pulse. They are getting power but seems the ground is bad. Replaced the ECU still nothing. The ignition moduals keep blowing and had to replace a few relays in the ignition's electrical system that where fried. It seems as if the car does not know the key is in the ignition or possibly a sensor is out. I may also be looking in the complete wrong direction. Everything else seems to work, but the injectors. Sometimes it will pulse then stop and other times just nothing. Any help would be appriciated.

No expert on this kind of thing, but did you disable VATS in your prom?

If so, what did you splice into to add the push button? Sounds liek you're only getting starter power and not full ignition switch equivalent....

Correct there is no full ignition startup which is what we cant figure out. The entire ignition electrical system seems to be working fine. it just wont spark the engine

VATS was never disabled it was just a straight shot to the starter to see if the engine would crank.

If VATS was not disabled, then the key must be in the ignition and ignition turned on for this to work. VATS controls fuel/spark. Maybe I missed reading that you were using the key as well as the push button?
