anyone using a 5.0 H.O air cleaner with the snorkels on it with an 88+ serpentine setup, does the duct clear the compressor? anyone have a picture?

Since there were no 88s with a dual snorkle from the factory you'll just have to estimate it from my picture of my 86.

It probably will work, because lots of LO3 guys use it on their mills, and they have the AC compressor in the same place you do.

I think it should work. But it might depend on how your AC hoses run....
EDIT: I just noticed that the one in the pic above isn't an HO car by the way the AC hose routes!!
Only reason I know is because I have a HO car! That hose doesn't normally run over the pass. side duct ....

One of the more subtle differences between an L69 car and an LG4 car...

Auggie's setup is a custom one it looks like. I don't think its a factory dual snorkel.

I like the air cleaner on his better than the stock L69 one. Looks like it'll hold a thicker cleaner element, which is a good thing.

Well, your all right. I bought an Edelbrock 14" x 3" open element air cleaner and had a friend make an alum. housing. I stuffed a K&N element into it and used the stock L69 snorkels. When I changed my Q-Jet to a 750 cfm and installed a 355 on the juice I figured that honey needed more "Air".

The height of the element is not as much of a flow restriction as the distance betweent the airhorn and the cleaner cover.
The L69 housing was good enough for the "HO 350 Camaro Conversion Kit" from GM using the ZZ4 crate engine.
Of course, cast iron exhaust manifolds were "good enough" for them, too...

EDIT: I really want to do the same thing with my duel snorkle, but I just hate the thought of hacking it up to make it fit a Demon carb...

Agreed. I also noticed that it's not as much of a drop base either. Another good thing if it fits!

Your eagle eyes caught my AC line going where the factory didn't put it
Yeah, keep the QJet. It is such a nice, well-mannered carb for the street

I doubt anyone else would notice about your AC line unless they own an HO car themselves....
