Bottom line from transmission to factory cooler in the radiator, top line from factory cooler in the radiator to transmission. So the top one at the radiator is the return. Don't remember which one it is a the trans. Just trace it back from the radiator.

Top port on the rad connects to top port on the transmission.

Yes, which goes into the top port on the transmission.

Alright now the trans cooler is hooked up and my car is actually running alot hotter. Do I need to plug the holes for the trans lines in the radiator?

I did not plug the holes that are left when you unplug the trans lines when connecting a cooler. Just leave them as is.

Does your trans cooler have to be connected outlet and inlet? When I bought mine it did not matter where the inlet or outlet line connected to.

Does this depend on the cooler used?

Plug the holes? So you replaced the factory cooler with the aftermarket one? What brand and model is it?

I guess I should say gets hot quicker because normally after cruising around for 10mins or so the engine temp will get up to about 210 and stay there. And once I hit traffic and have to stop and go alot it will be at around 220. But earlier it got up to 220 after cruising at a constant speed for about 10mins which is usaully the time I have the best cooling.

Were you expecting the transmission cooler to reduce your engine temperature? If your engine is running hot (sounds like it is), then your factory cooler could have been lowering your engine temperatures by allowing for the transfer of heat from the coolant to the transmission fluid.
