Windshield washer push lever
Windshield washer push lever
The lever that you push to wash the windshield with was broken when I got my car and now I want to fix it. How do I go about doing this. Taking it apart etc.

take off the steering wheel, you will need a puller, keep tearing it down until you're at the lever, remove and replace, reassemble in the reverse order..

the puller looks like a Y, you can rent it at AutoZone..
you put 3 bolts into the steering wheel and then use a large bolt in the center to pull the wheel off.. you tighten the center bolt and it'll slowly pull the wheel off and it'll fall into your hands..

Whoa whoa whoa are you just talking about the plastic part of the lever that it's cracked in half? Just pull out the lever and the part that engages the switch (that they're talking about inside the column) is a little tab that fits into the circular switch. You can drill a small screw into this tab or something, or you might try reparing the plastic with a heat gun or something.
