CompuCam 2032 or Lt4 Hot Cam??

I am going to pull my motor this winter and I want to build it strong. What is the most radical cam I can put into an L98 350 with a 52mm TB. I am wanting to put new pistons and injectors in as well. What is the ultimate MAF motor???

Suggestions please. I am seriuos about new purchase and I am looking to this board for guidance on purchases...

I really like the looks of the LT4 hot cam but they do require 1.6 ratio rocker arms. Price is very good though $171 from Scoggin-Dickey or Paceparts.com. I know one of them has it for that. I have never known anyone that was really pleased with their Compucam.

Stay away from the 2032, it blows.

Your best bet for the $ is the hot cam. Pay the extra $ and run the 1.6 rockers and upgrade to better springs while you are at it.

You might just want to get the cam kit. It comes with the cam, valve springs, retainers, keepers, and 1.6 rail roller rockers. p/n 12480002. The cheapest I've found them is gmpartsdirect.com for $475.00. I've checked scoggindickey.com and gmperformance parts.

Your stock springs probably won't work with the LT4 cam. I've been checking out a 350 buildup with vortec heads, LT4 cam kit.
Good luck,
Craig

I have the 2040 Compucam - no regrets whatsoever.

Probably the most versatile cam on the market is the LPE 74219 cam. This cam produces great torque and HP. I cannot compare it to the "Hot Cam" but I know from experience that it can be used with Long Tube Runners, SuperRam or a MiniRam.

Just a thought but, how much would it change things to run the HOT cam with 1.5 rockers? How much do you gain from the 035 lift differance?

I have a new set of Edelbrock 6085 heads. Do I still need to upgrade springs since I have these new heads? I think the hot cam and 1.6 RRs is the best, least expensive way to go at this point in time.
