Which short throw shifter is better???

I have a 92 RS Camaro. I want to get a new short throw shifter. What do you guys think about either a B&M Ripper Shifter for $164.99 or a Hurst Billet/Plus Shifter for $175.99. I took these out of the new JEGS Christmas catalog on page 136. Im sure you all get this magazine. Or I saw in a Camaro Proformance Mag about this Mega Shifter?? Its pretty small and they put one in a 89 IROC-Z. I just want to know the pros and cons of each one if anyone has these in place of thier own stock shifter.

Well, I have the Ripper and it is sooooo much better than the stock one. My old 96 T/A has the Hurst short throw shifter and that was good too. I have also heard good things about the Pro 5.0 shifter.
If I were buying a shifter again, it'd probably be the Pro 5.0.

Please get the Hurst or Beter yet, the Pro 5.0.

I have the B&M Ripper and it blows. Yea, it does "feel" better than the stock one by a mile, but I have missed WAY too many shifts at the strip since I replaced my stocker with the B&M. Not only that, but I had to drill, tap and install my own adjustable shift stops because that P.O.S. Ripper doesn't come so equiped. Lame. I won't get another B&M.

Keep in mind I have not used any of these except the Hurst, but it was on a 6spd. I have heard from numerous people that the Pro 5.0 is the best. It had better be, it comes with a price higher than Hurst, or B&M.

I have a hurst and it is much better then a stock unit. MUCH, it feels like shifting hard rubber on the stocks now.

When i installed my hurst i didn't really notice too much of a difference becuase at the time i hadn't driven in the car in so long i couldn't remember what the old one felt like. That is, until i installed the old in one in a friends T/A. What a night and day difference. The throws on the stock piece are rediculously long compared to the hurst. The only thing im not satisfied with is the fact that i still miss gears all the time, but thats more my fault than anything. Get the hurst man, you wont be dissapointed. (then again ive never felt the PRO 5.0)

My father '96 camaro has a T5 with a hurst short shifter and when we first installed it, he kept missing the 1-2shift but I have had no problem. Anyone ever notice how it sounds like a stehtescope(sp?).
