Alternator pulley removal

Hey, i have a 89 camaro rs 350 tbi, i got a set of underdrive pulleys and i havent got to put them on yet, but in the past i havent been able to get the pulley off the alternator, is the nut on the pulley reverse thread? Or is it just real stubborn? I never worked on it real hard before to figure it out, and I just wanted to know if there is a trick , or if mine is just a pain in the a$$. Thanks!

It is TBI related because it is on my TBI car, and the alternator differ from TBI to Carb cars! Thanks anyway!

there's no good way to hold alt still while you torque off the nut, an impact is generally the only way.
drop by a tire shop 5 mins before they close, tell some guy to get the nut off with an impact for ya for a couple of bucks.

No, because it's not about the Throttle Body, or effects the TB, it's about an alternator. But, thanks anyways!
