Damn...oil leak at front seal
Well...had the tires 305 replaced with a 350. Now I notice whenmy car was on a lift for alignment that i have 2 leaks. One in at the oil pressure sensor.....the other is at the front of the oil pan. Hopefuly I can torque down the oil pan bolts and loose the leak. I re-used my 305 oil pan. Hope this isnt too big of a deal where I need to pull the engine and replace the entire pan and gasket. Any thoughts, comments?

As I asked last time you posted this:
Are you SURE it's the oil pan or the front seal? REALLY REALLY sure?
Is the AIR pump still on the car?

Iknow i am forgetful, but this is the first time i posted about this. I think.
I dont know if its the pan or front seal. How do i tell? I just see a drip from where the pan meets the front seal.

Front seal normally refers to the balancer seal in the timing cover a few inches above the block to pan gasket seal in front. Third option up there is the smog (air) pump bolt hole in the block that exposes the bore for the fuel pump rod. In order of ease of repair (IMO) these three would be
1) smog pump bolt (5 min?)
2) front seal in timing cover (an hour?)
3) oil pan gasket (weekend?)
Sofakingdom would probably recommend that you ensure the leak is not being caused by #1 or #2 before repairing #3.

I could swear that it was coming from the front lip of the oil pan, but i didnt investigate that intensively as the car was on alift at the shop while the alignment was being done.
I noticed too that the oil sender had a leak also. Could be running down from there to the front.
I need to get it on stands and wipe it clean to see.
I dont feel like getting in the driveway today, but I need to

there is a bolt (3/8) that should be in a hole over in the front of the block by the fuel pump boss. the bolt can be lengthened to hold the pushrod when changing the pump. do you have this bolt? if not its an open hole into the motor for oil to leak out of. check it out if it not there be sure to use a very short bolt.

well boys...i didnt get under the car today as I thought i would. I should have all the smog stuff taken care conected. Its a rebuilt engine from an engone warehouse installed by a local shop. From all the stuf they left un-finished, i wouldnt be surprised if there was a missing bolt. I'll get under the car monday afternoon and let you know. Thanks for all this great insight. Any other bolt holes i should be aware of?

Update:
I got underneathe and found the leak to be at the oil pan gasket, its brand new thick and blue. I wiped the lip clean and found that the front two bolts were not tightened enough. I got an easy 2-3 half turns on each one. Snugged them down and i think I got it. Ran the engine and didnt get any oil at the lip.
Only time will tell. Hope i nailed it.
